going for a win takes you from 2nd to 24th. That is crazy and kind of sucks for guys. Racing is goofy really when stuff like this happens. Just race 5 laps every week and end it. A lot of guys work for stuff all week...months really, and luck prevails. Good for harvick and all the other guys. It is just wild how meaningless the previous 195 laps are.

It definitely took some luck for Harvick to get this one, but not all races are such a disaster at the end. It was so close and the risk of a crash was high because they all started out so close together with 2 laps left. For the most part, the drivers who drove well the whole race were near the front on that restart and had the best chance for a win. If luck really were as much of a factor as you say it is, the same drivers wouldn't be in the top spots every season.
